A single-family office led by thoughtful reserve.

Based in London, we are a private family office focused on preserving and compounding our family capital.

Across multiple generations, capital has been preserved and quietly expanded through prudent, long-term stewardship.

Our perspective has been shaped by experience in multiple markets and by longstanding engagement with academia and the arts.

Our role is not that of an institution, but of a custodian, acting with independence and continuity.

Our History

Desk with leather folio

Our family’s capital has been built progressively, through a combination of operating businesses and long‑term investments, with real estate ownership forming a consistent thread across generations.

The lessons from that experience inform how we think about ownership and the alignment of our interests today.

Over time, different members of the family have lived and worked in a variety of markets, including the UK and abroad. This has contributed to an international outlook to our operations, whilst our primary base and decision‑making remain in London.

At Patmon Family, we keep personal details and family names private by design. We prefer to be known by the partnerships we keep and the commitments we honour.

In parallel with our commercial activities, our family has maintained a longstanding interest in academic and cultural life, particularly in fields that explore history and creative expression.

Partnership Approach

We collaborate with a small number of trusted professional partners, including leading advisory and legal firms of the calibre of BDT & MSD Partners and Withers UK.

Our relationships are built on trust and long-term alignment.

Our Investment Approach

Syndication

Participation in carefully chosen opportunities alongside trusted counterparts. Every commitment we make is a reflection of our deep due diligence into the underlying asset’s fundamentals, the operational integrity of the lead sponsor, and the preservation of capital through shared objectives.

Joint Ventures

Partnerships with individuals and organisations whose capabilities are well established and whose approach reflects integrity and continuity. These partnerships are formed with a view to long-term collaboration.

Asset Management Mandates

Selective allocation to managers whose judgement and discipline align with our own. Such relationships are formed only after careful assessment of a manager’s track record and investment discipline.

Advisory

From time to time, we undertake advisory roles where our perspective and network may be of quiet value. These engagements are limited in number and typically arise from longstanding relationships.

Patron of the Arts

Our family has a longstanding interest in education and the arts.

We support a small number of cultural and educational initiatives that align with our values of intellectual curiosity, exploration and meaningful advancement.

The focus tends to be on institutions and projects that contribute meaningfully to intellectual life, creative practice and the communities in which they operate.

Academic Affiliations

Members of the family have historically supported academic institutions in the United Kingdom, particularly in the humanities and social sciences.

This reflects a continued commitment to scholarship, and intellectual advancement.
